2. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are shown in Pound Sterling (£) and include VAT at 20%.
  • Prices may change at any time without notice, but once an order is confirmed, the price is fixed.
  • Payment must be made in full before goods are dispatched, including for hire orders.
  • We accept secure payment through approved third-party providers.
  • By placing a hire order, you authorise us to charge the payment card used at checkout for any additional charges arising under Section 7 (late return fees, damage charges, or non-return charges).

3. Delivery

  • All website prices include UK delivery only.
  • We do not ship outside the United Kingdom. For international purchases, please see our Dealer & Distributor page.
  • We aim to dispatch orders within 2 working days. Delivery typically takes 1–3 working days, so most orders arrive within 3–5 working days.
  • Hire orders are dispatched on a next-working-day service.
  • Delivery times are estimates and may occasionally be affected by factors outside our control.

4. Warranty

  • All Kensington Audio cartridges supplied through purchase are covered by a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase.
  • The warranty covers manufacturing defects and workmanship issues only.
  • It does not cover accidental damage, misuse, normal wear (including stylus wear), or unauthorised modifications.
  • Proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim.
  • Hire units are not covered by the standard 24-month warranty, but are supplied in full working order. If a hire unit develops a fault during the hire period through no fault of the customer, please contact us immediately.

5. Repairs & Servicing

  • If your product is damaged or outside of warranty, Kensington Audio offers a specialist repair and servicing programme.
  • Customers are responsible for securely shipping items to us.
  • An inspection and quotation will be provided before any work begins.

6. Returns & Cancellations (Purchases)

  • You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
  • To qualify for a return, items must be unused, in their original condition, and returned with all packaging and proof of purchase.
  • Customers are responsible for the cost of returning items, unless the product is faulty or supplied incorrectly.
  • Refunds will be issued once returned goods are received and inspected.
  • This section applies to outright purchases only. For hire arrangements, see Section 7.

7. Hire

Kensington Audio offers a 30-day hire scheme on selected products. By placing a hire order and proceeding through checkout, you confirm that you have read and agree to the terms set out in this section.

7.1 Hire Period

  • The hire period is 30 days.
  • The hire period begins on the date you receive the unit, not the date of order.
  • We will confirm your hire start date and return-by date by email once delivery is confirmed.

7.2 Returns

  • The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for the return shipment.
  • All returns must be sent via a reputable courier and must be fully tracked.
  • The tracking number must be emailed to us as soon as the return is despatched.
  • We strongly recommend insuring the parcel for the full retail value of the unit.
  • The unit remains the customer’s responsibility until it is received back by us in good condition.

7.3 Late Returns

  • A grace period of 3 days applies after the return-by date.
  • Returns received beyond this grace period will incur a late fee of 1/30th of the hire fee per day.
  • Units not returned within 7 days of the return-by date will be treated as non-returned, and the full retail price of the unit will be charged to the payment card used at the time of hire.

7.4 Condition of Returned Units

The unit must be returned in good working condition. Fair wear and tear is accepted. On return, the unit will be inspected:

  • Minor or repairable damage will be charged at the cost of repair.
  • Damage rendering the unit unsellable will be charged at full retail price.
  • Loss or damage in transit on return will be charged at full retail price.

Our assessment of damage and repair cost is final.

7.5 Payment Authorisation

By entering into a hire agreement, you authorise Kensington Audio to charge the payment card used at the time of hire for any late fees, repair costs, or replacement charges as set out in this section.

7.6 Purchase Discount

The hire and any subsequent purchase are entirely separate transactions. No part of your hire fee is held, credited, or applied toward the purchase of a unit.

As a goodwill gesture to returning hire customers, we offer a discount equal to the hire fee paid against the retail price of a new unit, subject to the following conditions:

  • The hired unit must be returned within the agreed hire period (or applicable grace period).
  • The hired unit must be returned in good working condition, with no damage beyond fair wear and tear, as determined by our inspection.
  • The discount is valid for 30 days from the date the returned unit is received and inspected.
  • The discount applies only to a new unit purchased at full retail price and cannot be combined with other offers or promotions.
  • The discount is non-transferable and has no cash value.

Customers whose returned units are subject to damage charges, late fees, or non-return charges are not eligible for the purchase discount.

7.7 Ownership

Title to the hired unit remains with Kensington Audio at all times during the hire period. Hire does not transfer ownership of the unit to the customer under any circumstances.

8. Liability

  • We make every effort to ensure our products meet the highest standards.
  • Kensington Audio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of enjoyment, profits, or data.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including logos, images, product descriptions, and text, is the property of Kensington Audio or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written consent.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. By purchasing from or hiring through Kensington Audio, you agree that any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
